What learning looks like in Little Doves.

Welcome to the Autumn term!

This is the most interesting of the terms, we love watching the leaves on the trees change colour infornt of our eyes, we, notice them falling from the trees. We like to play in the leaves, listening to the sound of them crunching under our feet, drawing over them in leaf prints or painting with them creating lots of colourful pictures. We also look at different vegetables ready for us to eat, we make pumpkin soup and play in the stringy middle, noticing how it feels. We look at ourselves and our different features that we have, we sing songs about our bodies and use actions to move to the music. We will learn about the different types of clothes we need to wear in the Autumn to keep us warm and be practicing putting our own coats and wellington boots on. Outside we love to jump in puddles, fill and empty watering cans from the drainpipe. We also water the garden, make more puddles to jump in and listen to the sound of the rain on our umbrellas.

The books we will be reading are;

  • 'That's not my books'

  • Meg and Mog books

  • Christmas books

Autumn learning so far!
