The school has agreed its Equality objectives for the year:

1. Supporting the children to take personal responsibility and to make good choices outside school, behaving with respect to people in the community. This will involve making more community links for example through visits to organisations in the community and through inviting members of the community into school, increasing the children’s understanding of (and therefore respect for) the contribution made by members of the community (e.g. war veterans, business owners, service providers) and increasing the children’s awareness of the needs of vulnerable members of the community e.g. elderly people, disabled people, asylum seekers.

2. Increasing awareness and understanding of protected characteristics by running three or four themed days throughout the year
